Can’t Complain

Sick of listening to “Kvetcher”s?

In Defense of Rav Moshe

Secular Jew wrote an article recently ripping into one of the greatest Rabbis of the past 100 years for a decision he wrote about boys talking to girls.  I have to take this apart piece by piece:

1) Not everyone follows everything every rabbis says, so stop acting like EVERYONE does

2) He says he will now call him “Rav Moshe FineControlFreak”.  If you read the article you will notice he doesn’t do this because he says anything but because of what the man said.  So because you disagree with him he is a mind controller?  If he had said “there is no G-d you are crazy to believe in him” then he would be a sage?  Very flawed logic.  You want to disagree with what he said? Fine, but don’t claim he is a mind controller merely because he makes decisions WHICH HE IS AUTHORIZED TO DO FROM G-D.

3) he makes the assumption that the Torah is something that was given by G-d that “the majority of jews can follow with minimum difficulty”.  I have never in all my life ever heard any Rabbi claim being Jewish is easy.  Anyone who says it is…is lying.  If it was easy why would G-d give us such a great reward?  The reward is in the difficulty, the struggle if you will makes you worth to get the rewards, that’s the whole point!

4) Secular Jew then spits on Rav Moshe’s grave,  or at least writes that he does.  Are you kidding me? You disagree with him, so you spit on his grave?  And I love the title “Rav Moshe Feinstein: Burn in Hell”, sorry to tell you man, he is following G-d’s word, what have you been doing your whole life?

Somehow I don’t think he will be the one burning.

The Power of the Rabbis (in 5 seconds or less)

It has long been a contention of unobservant Jews that the Rabbis don’t have any say over the way that we are to run out lives and that they are merely trying to keep control of the religion to themselves.  The problem with this contention is COMPLETELY contrary to the Torah itself.  Not the Talmud, not the mishna, THE TORAH ITSELF.  The Torah states clearly that they have the power to interpret the torah for the people (much like the Supreme Court) and this has gone on unbroken from the setting up of the courts in the book of Shmot (Exodus)  till today.

At one point people decided, “hey who cares what G-d said I KNOW BETTER”.  When was the last time you heard ANYONE claim that the Supreme Court doesn’t have the power to interpret the Constitution?  So we have complete faith in a court that doesn’t have to base their decision on anything but a paper written by a bunch of MEN 250 years ago, but people deciding how we should live based on a book written by THE CREATOR OF HEAVEN AND EARTH?  ”Those people can’t do this!!!”

Just bothers me
